Scarlet Lantern Chilli is a rare and unique C. Chinense from Peru.
A fantastic looking plant, that bears lantern shaped pods in different colours. The colour change starts with creamy white pods, and then they get a purple tinge like someone painted them. Then pastel orange, and yellow with colours blending into each other. When the pods are ready to be picked, they have a bright red colour.
It is a stocky variety that grows well in a pot to about 60 cm in height. However if you plant it in the ground it will grow bigger, just be sure not to give it full sun.
This chilli will look great in any garden and would be an excellent chilli plant for a terrace or a balcony.
