Here is the Condors Beak Pepper, Capsicum chinense, Scoville units: 30,000 to 50,000 SHU. The Condors Beak Pepper also known as the Cajamarca originates from the northern Peru. Do not confuse this pepper with the Pink tiger pepper which may look similar. It is a very hot pepper with thin walls and gets its name from the beak shape of the Condor. They go from purple-white in color to red when fully ripe. This pepper plant gets to around 3 feet tall but most of the time it only gets 24 inches tall and bushy. One plant can produce dozens or more with about 1.5 to 2.5 inch long peppers. You can Grow it as an ornamental, or in the vegetable garden, or both! Open pollinated 100 days.
